Nurse put on leave in Oregon after TikTok video mocking coronavirus precautions

I totally agree with the nurse in the article being put on leave and also would think that education/judgment is lacking, and like I said, I think not taking Covid seriously as a provider is abhorrent.

What I'm saying is that we don't live in an ideal world. I live in a red state, there is already a shortage of healthcare workers in my area, and if everyone at my hospital that didn't take Covid 100% seriously was fired, there literally would be like five people left in the hospital, including doctors and OR/PACU nurses. So if my options are no healthcare provider available vs someone who is good at their job but doesn't take Covid seriously - I'm going to go with the second option and I feel like when push comes to shove the general population would too.
