NYPD has arrested at least eight for vandalizing Black Lives Matter memorial

That may be so, but if defacing the BLM memorial is wrong here why isn't it wrong everywhere? If these people deserve criminal records for defacing the BLM memorial shouldn't everyone defacing other memorials of racists?

My unsolicited opinion is that in a democracy you do not have a right to destroy public or private property. If you don't like the publicly funded BLM memorial vote for politicans who will remove it. If you don't like the publicly funded statues of Confederates then vote for politicans who will remove them. I've seen a lot of people rationalize that destroying property is ok because Confederates were bad. I in no way support Confederate statues, but you don't get to have it both ways.
