I can’t understand how anyone who actually watches OU thinks Mayfield will be above average in the nfl. He rarely played any good defenses. He had superior NFL talent around him at RB, WR, TE, and OL. Literally every position. He ran shotgun almost exclusively and plays were adjusted at the line by Lincoln Riley, not Baker. 90% of his throws were not nfl routes. He used his legs a ton in college, but won’t be able to do that in the NFL. He’s not Russell Wilson, he’s a 6 ft white dude that runs a 4.8 in shorts. I like him a lot as a leader and I wish him the best, but I see nothing as an OU fan that tells me he is going to be great at the next level.
