I enlisted back in 2005 to voluntarily go to the middle east. Then the first unit I got in was a training unit for pilots and we didin't deploy. I had to start poking around and talking to the right people for my chance to deploy to LSA Anaconda/Balad AB Iraq. It WAS my voluntary decision.

I've worked with many men and women over the years who can share a similar story. It's a great honor for most to be able to say that they've done their time overseas.

But this...We weren't trained for this. We weren't trained to open fire on unarmed civilians, or even rock throwers. I really hope it doesn't come to bloodshed, because no person I have ever met will find honor in shooting into a crowd using children as shields.

I am more willing to bet that this will be more along the lines of humanitarian missions I've been on. Using the military to "help" and "assist" in the "asylum" process. Use the military to round them all up into one large concentration and force them there until what ever comes next, entry or rejection.
