There are so many fish and chip shops in my area, 3 in my suburb in Christchurch and only one does both Chinese food and fish and chips, in Bryndwr there’s 3 fish and chip shops in the area and one that does Japanese bentos and fish and chips, in bishopdale, there are two that sell fish and does fish and chips, in papanui, there’s only 2 shops I know of and they only do fish and chips.

Depends on foot traffic and the location I guess (ie different demographic in each neighbourhood would affect sales for Asian food). I know captain bens in riccarton which is in close proximity to the university gets excellent sales from international students and domestic students for their Chinese food and fish and chips respectively.
