[O Levels] JC options and subject combinations

Hello, so as the others explained: hybrid is 2sci and 2arts. I take hybrid (Bio math CLit & Geog) Back when I chose my subjects, I researched on the requirements for the uni course I was interested in and found that the minimum requirements are Bio/chem and math. For my case, I really hated Chem (and I'm bad at it) so in the end, I went for another subject (Chi Lit). Tbh, hybrid is not that bad, and depending on what your subject combi is, the content and workload will differ. (Mine is seriously very content heavy with loads of memorisation and really strong conceptual understanding, esp bio math and clit). There are some hybrid combis that are not as demanding as normal subj combis (pcme, bcme etc), depending on what combi it is. Also, it's not true that you will be neither here or there. I think as long the subjects meet the min. requirements for the uni course you want it is fine (that's the case for me). Same for arts stream, arts stream doesn't mean there's no much future prospects, if it aligns with what you plan to do in uni/future. I would say choose the subjects you are interested in, so that even if it's a rather difficult subject you can still be motivated and more willing to put in the hard work (but times when you feel regrets is still unavoidable haha,,) Plus, i think no matter what, H2 math is a pretty important subject (even tho its hella difficult) since it is a basic requirement for alot of courses in uni. And in my opinion, H1 math is not as useful? But if you're really sure you won't need H2 math in the future, i think it's fine to take other subjects/H1 math instead. So yes, choose something that you like cus JC is really tough. If u end up with something you don't like, it will be much much harder to cope. Hope this helps you in deciding your subject combi! And atb!! :)
