Why do i/o shields have to be such a pain in the ass?

I also was a guy trying to help him out. I saw your wonderful post and his comments and decided if we could get some pictures it would help a lot to determine what his problems were. When he just posted one picture, at a weird angle, and backed up a bit I just told myself to relax and convinced myself he must be really new to the whole build a pc thing, which was hard to do because I thought the parts he picked out were pretty spot on or well thought out.

I have to 100% agree with your whole comment. He definitely came off as being not thankful for the help. A thank you or a "oo I just did that (tip) and now this is working, thanks a bunch for your help but now I am having problems with this..." goes a long way. So many people were giving him such sound advice/trouble shooting and it seemed like he was just breezing over it.

Yeah I saw that comment asking if he was a troll and I just think he took it the wrong way (as being insulting). After looking at the whole post I'm thinking someone must had helped him pick out the parts, he just ordered them, and when he got the parts was just extremely overwhelmed. I was really surprised that he got the cpu cooler on!

The other day actually I helped a guy out with troubleshooting things. It didn't get as much attention as bolts post but he certainly handled it 100% better and we were able to nail all the problems on the head. Here is the link if anyone is interested. Its funny because both bolts and his started out almost exactly the same (asking for pictures) but he actually took my advice and responded and said hey now this isn't working. http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/314vig/i_believe_all_the_pieces_are_together_but_nothing/
