Which is hardly a real criticism of protests, when the entire point is to garner attention for your movement. They're views and goals are public. You have completely mischaracterized what they do, and what they have accomplished by projecting some kind of ego problem onto them.

They don't care that the entire precinct lied, and that entire system has failed to put away a murderer or even put one on trial. They just show up to these protests and get shot at once in a while because they want facebook attention?"

Just absolute bullshit. That in no way paints an accurate picture of BLM. That narrative is the hot take of the main stream media and reddit has somehow taken it even further to suggest it as some black supremacy movement.

BLM is about bringing awareness to systemic racism, and police brutality and how the system seems to care about black victims less. There have been several other groups that have spawned from it that push for specific common sense legislation to hold police accountable and incentivize conflict de-escalation.

Many of the members, at least in my state, are also community builders. They work to reduce crime within communities, work at youth at risk programs, volunteer to feed the homeless. These are the type of people that are going to these protests. If they are doing all this good for the facebook looks, then who fucking cares?
