Obey the law

My daughter had RSV when she was a month old. I took her to the doctor that afternoon and she stopped breathing in the doctor's office. The doctor told me to drive her immediately to the ER. Never called an ambulance. I was absolutely terrified on that drive. I got to the ER and she stopped breathing again, and her lips were turning blue. They were shaking her to get her to breathe again. She would start again, and then stop another 3 times. They took her to the ICU and I was holding her with about 8 nurses and staff around me when she stopped again. I felt so helpless. I had to tell the doctors in between sobs that they needed to take the baby and do something. They put one of those blue facemasks on her that has the squeeze thing on the end. They used that until they could stabilize her for the helicopter. The retired Coast Guard guys took her to Hershey on Life Lion. I still have nightmares about that night. But once she got on that helicopter and out of that shit hole hospital, there was a bit of relief. She ended up in PICU for a week. Now shes a happy, healthy 13 year old. I dont wish that situation on anyone.
