The Observer view on radical change being needed to overcome elitism in education | Observer editorial

It's funny that the privately educated middle-class journalists have written articles complaining about private education and class inequality for a newspaper read by middle-class liberals (not leftists).

The article also seems do dance around the subject quite a bit too. Although they are overt about their support for abolishing tax-exemption for private schools, they talk about "that a lot more needs to be done" but then don't go on to suggest anything. My opinion is that the guardian folk know they need to be careful about not upsetting the sensitivities of their middle-class readership.

I just don't understand why we, The UK, can't just have one decent left-wing newspaper.
