[OC] Iggy Iggy Iggy, Can't You See?

Weirdly enough, I wrote about this in a thread on r/warriors today:

This might be overstating it a bit, but I find it interesting that the three stars are: -Steph Curry: doubted every step of the way, not offered a major college scholarship, and considered to be a Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf type when drafted as opposed to the best player of his generation -Klay Thompson: expected to just be a three-point specialist like Kyle Korver or JJ Reddick at best -Draymond Green: 2nd round draft pick who was never supposed to be a starter, let alone an all-star and top-10 player Meanwhile, the guys who are considered role players on this team were highly touted and hyped: -Andre Iguodala: now the greatest 6th man in the league, but has a past life as an all-star, gold medal-winning Olympian, and franchise player for the Sixers and Nuggets -Shaun Livingston: pre-injury was supposed to be the next great out-of-high school star, touted as the next Magic and the savior of the Clippers -Andrew Bogut: number 1 overall pick and franchise player for the Bucks before numerous injuries -Harrison Barnes: highly touted since a teenager, and supposed to be the star in our 2012 draft over Draymond and Festus; pushed heavily in the MJax era to be an offensive creator This isn't to take away from anyone, because I love our role players and they play their roles to perfection. Mostly I think it speaks to how well this team was constructed that we've created three unlikely superstars and paired them with guys who either weren't able to live up to their potential elsewhere, or have taken a lesser role for the greater good of the team. It's like everyone, even guys like Barbosa and Speights, have found their true purpose on this team.
