[OC] I lined up some old photos of "Cradle Rock" in Massachusetts with how the rock looks today.

Little more info:

"Cradle Rock" in Barre, MA is actually two separate boulders that are stacked on top of each other. They each weigh several tons and together they stack up to a twenty-foot height. At some point thousands of years ago, each of the boulders was picked up by a glacier and carried hundreds of miles across North America. Then, as the glacier melted & retreated, the two boulders were dropped off right on top of each out of pure coincidence.

The rock has been a local waypoint for hundreds of years now, native american artifacts have been found around it too. The most interesting part of the rock though, is the war of words that has been fought over its identity for the past two centuries. There's been a lot of disagreement over the years on whether or not Cradle Rock has ever moved or not. A few people back in the 1890's in particular got pretty ridiculously heated about it.

Also, I made a little video about the rock and the history of the argument over its true nature if anyone's interested in seeing some 4K footage of the rock and learning about its history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bpj1gxqdqlg&ab_channel=DimeStoreAdventures

The video includes some of those pretty wild quotes Hope you like it if you decide to check it out!
