[OC] I measured my heart rate while gaming, because science

Those heart rates are fine for all but the oldest or least fit gamers, being less than expected for a 30 min run. Go to this calculator and put it at 70-85% to see what heart rate you can safely aim for in sustained exercise. It’s around 160bpm at 85% for a 30yo, less as you get older. I guess there will be a tiny fraction of us with unknown issues like cerebral aneurysms they didn’t know about but the risk is no greater than with other activities. I’m guessing here but there may actually be some benefit in cardiocascular health in getting your heart rate up (within safe limits) and also benefits in extending your mental agility.
