Ocasio-Cortez challenges Conway on Sri Lanka comments: 'Are you trying to imply that I am less Christian?'

Evangelicals are hardly the only types of Christians out there, and it's mindboggling how the beliefs of Evangelicals don't represent those of so many other Christian denominations. I certainly don't identify as an Evangelical because of doctrinal differences.

Unfortunately, I think most Evangelicals believe that all you need to do is proclaim Christ as your Savior just once in your life and you're saved forever and you can deliberately live any way you want with impunity for the rest of your life and still be saved. I simply don't agree with that. I hope I don't offend anyone with that, but I find it obnoxious. Evangelicals also believe you need some sort of spiritual experience when you become a Christian and that repentance of sin has nothing to do with salvation. I'm sorry, I can't square with that either. That's why I'll never identify with the Evangelical community. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected.
