Well, the problem was the eviction moratorium killed all the small landlords who couldn’t afford to float the homes for 1.5 years without rent, while still having to pay expenses, and the federal funding that landlords were supposed to get was impossible to distribute in most cases, in my case, for example, the tenant had to provide a ridiculous amount of paperwork, not one managed/agreed to collect the million things they wanted, and there was nothing I could do about it. So small landlords had to sell to big companies, who knocked them down to rebuild or jacked up rent.

This was a choice of the gov to allow this - they colluded to let big companies squeeze out small landlords who actually treat their tenants like the neighbors they are. They could have subsidized the rent when they were giving away all the free money to everyone else.

I also am one of the few who did/do section 8 despite the low rent, I am so done, their inspection requirements are out of control and their inspectors are too dumb to follow the statute, and their admins don’t care to fix it. it’s supposed to be inspected for health and safety but I am terminated from the program bc there are holes in insect screens and i just couldn’t fix it in time bc they had my mailing address wrong so I wasn’t informed of failure , I am pretty sure screens are optional, and even if they weren’t, there is a housing crisis, I keep appealing - but this is your government people - they are the ones creating the housing crisis bc lobbyists collude with them to get rich off everyone else - now that we all caught on to the student loan scam, this was next
