OK HEAR ME OUT. I have two possible trades in my head that could still take place. it’s a long shot but nothing is impossible. Here’s two possible scenarios:
Happ, Andujar, and Luke Voit for Josh Bell. Bell would be a nice power switch hitter to the middle of the lineup. Think it could be a win for both teams. Pirates get young talent. Bell is get a solid middle of the lineup 1st baseman with great numbers last year.
Here’s the doozy. Jason Dominguez, Andujar, Deivi Garcia, Happ, Clint Frazier, and cash considerations for Francisco Lindor. We’d have our answer at shortstop, with the Indians getting some decent pitching, along with young top prospects. Plus a little escarole as icing on the cake.
Maybe I’m a jackass, or maybe I should be sitting next to Cashman in these meetings. But my gut is telling me that the Yankees are on the phone with both the Pirates and the Indians.
