It's a patently false statement backed with a disclaimer at the end to excuse the patently false statement. Except it doesn't excuse it. Just like it doesnt excuse your absurd logic:

If defensive gun uses are as common as offensive ones, wouldn't that imply that 100% of victims defend themselves with guns? Seems unlikely.

You're building illogical arguments and attempting to act like you know statistics in order to support your baseless assertions and positions.

The facts are that lawful defensive gun use far outnumbers criminal offensive gun use any day of the week, and nothing you can do will change those facts. Even if it doesn't align with your opinion.
