Off-duty sheriff deputy forces 13yo MexAm boy onto his property, shoots at him

I just want to say, I appreciate your opinion and reasonable arguments/ sentiments in opposition to mine. I also grew up in an area where gun ownership is common, and I currently live in a really terrible, ghetto area with a lot of foot traffic, people walking around with 40s in their hands, walking through the street, touching my fucking mailbox (god it makes me so mad).

That being said, I've had several shitty encounters with individuals, and a couple with groups. While I agree that the assault on the supposed LEO should be prosecuted, and that all the other "kids" surrounding him is intimidating and dangerous, he had a clear exit route. Any LEO should be able to give up his quest for justice (read as; arresting/detaining that kid) in order to put himself in a safer scenario. The fact of the matter is, he, as a LEO, could not set aside his role as Peace Officer for long enough to deescalate the situation. And that, I feel, cuts to the core of the current situation with law enforcement.

Personally, I'd love to see most of the kids in that video struck and disciplined by their parents. I mean, how stupid do you have to be to taunt and harass an authority figure, and your elder, to be like that....
