I’ve been working a new job as a case manager in a hospital for almost four months. Today was super busy (so many people in with flu and RSV!) and I wanted to be off work in time as I had an event later. I ended up staying an hour late to make sure a patient got discharged okay and a coworker asked me to do something as I was leaving (i don’t think she knew my schedule as she is newer so she probably thought I was still working normally). I got stressed and when I get stressed my voice gets higher and I get a bit teary. Well, I think she definitely could tell I was stressed and I worry I was too brusque with her. Ugh, I don’t want everyone to think of me as the person who can’t handle stress or is rude.
