[OFF TOPIC] Why do the homeless chose to be hungry?

I think you need to look at this from another perspective. Homeless people don't sit around waiting for what they believe they are simply entitled to. Often, a lot of homeless people don't have the skills required to support themselves.

This often comes from mental illness, drug addiction, alcoholism, PTSD, and a wide rand of other issues.

Coupling this with the fact that when homeless, the average person tends to ignore them, making them feel invisible. This along with no safe place to lay their head at night and the other million issues that come with homelessness destroys any self worth or self esteem. This leads to depression, anxiety and even worst self esteem.

Depression particularly is a major road block to even doing the simplest things in life - even for people with homes and a support network.

Life has not served anything to these people on a platter, and I don't think any homeless person has ever thought that. They are simply broken people that are in such a state they cannot look after themselves.

We all need help from time to time, be it from a family member, friend, or a Reddit sub that acts as a safe space to vent about issues or at least feel like part of a community. Homeless people don't have any of this.
