Be charming and funny and have balls. When I moved there I didn't know a person. First thing I did before I even unpacked was walk into a Brazilian jiu jitsu gym. Those dudes immediately took me in and it branched from there. Between those dudes and people in grad school I met a ton of people and had some great adventures.

One night I was smoking some pot in my apartment with a new friend from my program. He was conplaining about not knowing anyone despite growing up in Miami. This is a true story I swear to god. I was like dude just start talking to random girls. I went outside for someone reason (I think to meet a connect) and saw a beautiful Puerto Rican girl and her friend waking jnto the complex. From my friends perspective I walked outside and came back with drugs and two girls.

The Peurto Rican was a stripper. Jesus Christ I had fun with her. She knew fucking everybody. Had some very wild times with her. I still keep in touch with people she introduced me to and I haven't heard from her in 6 years
