[Offer] Valentine's Day Giveaway

I don't know why it was only added on Feb 5 but the game that's always been on my wishlist is GTA V.

I don't think I need to explain what GTA is to anyone. For me the entire series has been the perfect game after perfect game. It is linked to all the carefree and happy memories of my early-mid teens and just the loading screens bring me a feeling of joy and it kind of feels like it's "mine" if that makes sense. Even if it's not rated the highest all the time I've always played every version of the game to it's fullest putting hundreds and thousands of hours. I've played the story modes, I've modded the games, put in every car and thing I've wanted and even tried multiplayer with versions such as SA. It is the reason I got into programming, I think it's modding was the first source of me altering numbers and seeing the end result and being astonished which is why I do what I do. For me the multiplayer is when it really opened my eyes to how fun it could be.

All along my teens GTA was the sole reason I even upgraded my computer. I was a gamer but could never afford the best hardware but the game never really needed one until IV. The next version of GTA was always the reason I got a new PC or a new upgrade .

Now you must be asking why doesn't this guy buy it himself. Well I did! I've only ever had one console and I had GTA V on my xbox 360. It ran really badly but still I played it and loved it but then a week after I bought it my work computer fucked up. Now I was left with the choice of not doing any work (since I use my computer to do freelance work) or to sell the console and sell GTA and get back on track.

I took the right decision to sell the console and GTA and thought that I'd buy it back but here I am 8 months later still without it. The reason is that the computer I bought needed to last me the new few years and had to have enough power in it to run high memory consuming photo/video editing softwares not to mention their prices and to afford that I had to get money from people which I've been paying back. I guess I'm not the best at my job and with so much competition in this field I'm not getting there anytime soon where I can leisure spend.

In the meantime I had a 20 buck steam gift card and a 10 buck one to spend on games. I waited and waited for GTA to become affordable in my range but it never did and then I saw other games I was interested in were also on sales. I was new to steam and didn't know sales were so often because if I had the 30 bucks now I could've found more to buy GTA in the next sale. But I found new games like Rocket League and also sites like bundlestars and subreddits where game developers gave free games where I could get a lot of cheap games for free. With this 25 bucks I bought some good games on sale like Rocket League, CSGO and garry's mod. I also bought a lot of bundles for like 1-4$ with 8-9 games each and also used subs like /r/freegamesonsteam to get a lot of free games but really nothing has been as rewarding as GTA or any GTA was for me.

Rocket League came the closest but with the new season changes it's also thrown me off. I've tried and tried to find a game that matched up to GTA but nothing ever has.

Now I don't know the part about the love story but could it be that I'm in love with GTA? Say it aint so. I can name nearly all the GTA characters just from my memory and honestly there isn't one which I do not absolutely love or who doesn't represent a linked memory from that time in my life. It's kind of a reference point in sense. So I'll say that instead of making up a fake love story that I really do love the characters of GTA and even their release years as kind of pin points on a calendar. Just thinking about them makes me happy. I know I'll have this game for sure in the future, I'll make it happen one way or another and it's the only game I've ever requested on this sub but I do understand that it's a big ask. I mean if I can't buy it for myself that says something. I just wish they made it more affordable.

Might've gotten a lot off topic there but really felt like venting.
