The Official "I contacted my Representative" About Anti-Gun Legislation Thread

I just emailed my congressman. He's pro-gun from the looks of his website. He cosponsored the SHARE Act and the HPA I think. I don't need to call him too right?

Congressman [his name here],

I recently heard that Congressman Curbelo of Florida's 26th District has introduced bill HR 3999. This bill would make it unlawful to use a part or any combination of parts to "increase the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle." The original intent of the bill is likely to ban "bump fire stocks," but I have many concerns with how broadly worded this bill is. Furthermore, I believe that any further regulation of firearms is unnecessary and ineffective. Bills such as these and others encroach on our 2nd Amendment freedoms.

I am very glad to see that you support pro-gun legislation such as the SHARE Act. Thank you for your commitment to the Second Amendment. And I would ask that you please fight HR 3999 and any other anti-gun legislation in the future.

Thank you,
