Official COVID-19 Megathread

3rd year rotations are cancelled until further notice. Likely until the end of the semester. I’m class leadership, so I’m trying to put on a brave face for others. But honestly I’m scared. I don’t know what this means for us graduating on time, if we will actually get an education in a clinic or almost entirely online, if I will get to see away rotations, and ultimately if I will match into the (fairly competitive) specialty I have been working really hard towards for years now. I’m feeling pretty bleak and hopeless. What’s the point of having done all this work up to this point if I’m watching it all just go away. I don’t trust my school to have my back other than slapping an MD onto my name and streamlining me into a specialty I don’t want to do.

Anyone else feeling pretty hopeless right now? I don’t know what to do.
