Official Discussion - The Batman [SPOILERS]

What a fantastic introduction to a Batman film; the monologue, mixed with the thugs and all going about their dirty business until they become aware of the bat signal in the air, and the camera shots into the shadows where even the audience is unaware down which dark hallway is the Batman watching, preparing to walk out. Absolutely amazing. I absolutely ADORED the batmobile entrance in this one, definitely my favorite overall. Robert Pattinson continues to surprise me with how good of an actor he actually is when you look past his Twilight series role as Edward. The man makes a really menacing Batman! I also need to point out how well down the cinematography was; the scene where Batman is fighting thugs in the dark and the only light came from gunshots was so visually interesting. I keep thinking about the scene where he's leading the group through the water with the flare, the lighting was so well done. I saw the film in theater, and I'm hoping to watch it again at home at some point to see if I have the same opinions and thrill while watching it. Overall, this was a pretty solid Batman. Definitely surprised me.
