Official Discussion - The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

I haven't seen any of the other Conjuring movies, or any of the movies in the Conjuring universe so this is all new to me. I've heard of the Warrens from Ghost Hunting shows but never any movies.

So, honestly I found the movie boring. It was a 6/10 if I had to be generous with the rating because the whole story was interesting, but the way it was told was not.

They jumped around scene from scene too much. Without spoiling, there was a point they were talking to someone acting like they were going to a scene at the Warren House, instead it jumps to a completely different area and that whole conversation was never mentioned nor was it mentioned what happened if the person they spoke to went to the house.

It was also too dark at times, I had to turn the brightness up on my TV a few times because it was just dark for the sake of being dark it felt.

The ending also felt rushed. I know COVID was a thing probably affected the filming, but the ending felt off. It felt incomplete.

I may go and watch the other Conjuring movies, but if this is anything to go off of, I don't see why people call the movies the "Scariest movies" when based on this one alone it was just cheap jumpscares you can see a mile away.
