Official Discussion - The Gentlemen [SPOILERS]

As an Asian guy living in LA i thought the asian jokes were hilarious. Personally i think Asians in general need to calm down with the racist accusations sometimes. Like they made fun of our accents but didnt we as americans laugh at every “wanker” and “cunt” uttered in the movie? i was dying everytime colin opened his mouth. I realize his accent is probably close to his true way of speaking but it jst sounded so funny and ridiculous and i dont think its racist of me to notice that or think its funny. In another movie, Knives Out, did southern americans watching daniel craig get offended at his accent? I really dont think so As Asians to be embraced by society i think we need to stop taking offense at the smallest slights. Like damn, in LA every pho restaurant is a variation of Pho King or some other play on the accent but we are going to get offended cus some gangsters in the uk think its funny that a guy is named phuc, which is actually a common name? Cmon lets pick our battles Otherwise the main asian character was shown as a “suave chinese james bond” yes, he was arrogant and hot headed but id say thats good representation
