I think one of this movie's shortcomings is that it misses some easy opportunities to to recapture the first one's charm. Like when Owen meets... Henry Winkler? Is that the Buffalo Bill guy's name? It sure sounded like it. Even if it it isn't, let's just say it is.

So he introduces himself as "Hank Winkler". Pratt says "Hank? So your first name is Henry?" Buffalo Bill says "Is that amusing to you?" Pratt smirks and says "A little bit." Then walks on.

BAM!! Perfect Owen Pratt moment, in a movie that has none. Of course this is a tiny problem in a movie full of them, but it's a shining example of where this film fucks up what the first had going for it, very much like The Last Jedi.

In fact, I think there are many parallels between this film and The Last Jedi. The tone-deaf humor just being a glaring example.
