Watched it yesterday with a friend, German dubbed version in 3D.

Oh my, I have no idea what it was, I'd say China Trash. Entertaining nevertheless.

There aren't any Horror-Elements, instead we were laughing quite a lot. So many dumb scenes.

Turtletaub and Statham saved the movie for me. Direction was good, Statham was good.

Apart from that, a person of every color in the movie, so they can appeal to all kind of ehtnicities, many Chinese elements. BingBing actress very pretty, yet not very talented as an actress.

I read all the books. There isn't that much that the movie has in common with them. Anything scientific was left out. Meg behaved weird all the time, made no sense.

Would not recommend it or watch it again, but if you are into stuff like Sharknado or Priranhas 2 this might be ok to watch for.

No idea why the movie cost 150 millions, the Special Effects are not very good.
