Official Discussion Thread - RWBY Volume 3: Chapter 11: Heroes and Monsters

...right. Gonna be watching this again multiple times. They actually topped V3E10. Good job.

ASIDE: Watching V3E10 allowed me to see that Best lioness' rope dart is, in fact, not. Arslan has a dagger with a blade that can shoot out on a wire, while she holds onto the handle/crossguard. I like this better.

Back to this episode:

Grimm are threatening again, and may have killed Roman Torchwick. First part good, second part YOU BASTARDS!

Ruby got destroyed. It wasn't even close. She lost that fight utterly. I could not be happier with that part.

Nadir still didn't fire his fucking gun.

Reese and Neon need some /RWBYg greentext adventures.

Best lioness (Arslan) can shoot fireballs. This is good. She keeps being shown repeating the same pose animation. This is bad.

Production-type Paladins are a threat. This is good. There is an elite type above them. This is better.

Velvet's Negative Arsenal is insanely good. She also got punched right in the face. It's funny.

Weiss can almost summon the Knight, and it is stronk.

Neo may or may not be still flying.

Adam joins Neo in the 'exactly how old are you supposed to be?' club. 21/22? Still a little on the creepy side.

He also may or may not have stabbed Blake in the babymaker. He definitely stabbed her, but I'm not sure M&K are willing to have the gaslighting domestic abuser actually render his victim unable to conceive.

Yang lost a fucking arm! Holy shit.

Amber does not do well with arrows.

Pyrrha losing the Maiden power that way seems like a lost opportunity for a really good, long-running plot line.

Jaune got rekt. Understandably. Not much to say about him this episode.

The dragon and its babbies seem to be remarkably accommodating in terms of letting humans/faunus/robots fight among themselves without interfering. The Goliaths especially so, since we still haven't fucking seen any.

Where are Mercury and Emerald?

Is Nora okay?

Ozpin, what have you done?
