I agree with you! I love good writing and welcome shocking twists in which main characters are written off in a way that makes sense and that adds to the plot and cringe/hate when writers change their tune and let fanservice dictate their writing (like Star Wars). But I’m also being realistic here. The pandemic has hit RT badly; they have cancelled two RTX conventions in a row, so I don’t think that killing a beloved queer character rn is in the company’s best interest. It’s too much of a financial gamble if ppl boycott the show following Yang’s demise. For that reason, I don’t think they’ll kill her or any titular characters YET. I’m just saying that it’s not the time or place for her death, but it could potentially happen in later seasons.
