Official FIRST Finale Reaction Thread—Volume 5, Chapter 14: Haven's Fate

More like I don't understand why something going in a different direction than you thought would make you decide to hate something. But I look at it more from a creator point of view than a product point of view, I think. In my mind, if somebody's making something I want to see continue, I'm going to support it. When you say, "I'm cancelling my subscription", to me it sounds like you're telling the creators you don't care about the effort they put into it, at least when you make a point of saying it rather than just quietly unsubscribing.

There is a product that people make - a show- but there are also people behind the scenes who work hard on it - writers, animators, musicians, etc. And I tend to relate to those people most of the time.

I guess there's a bit of a lack of logic there though, because if you don't think a show is well-made, you don't watch it or support it. That's just because your time is valuable. So it's not like stopping your support for something is much different from not supporting it in the first place.

But I guess it's the entitlement of complaining about the quality of something, then almost in the same breath, complaining about it and saying how it doesn't get your support anymore, even though there's not much that statement can accomplish. The creators aren't going to hear you, and even if they could, you've already expressed your (possible) desire to stop watching entirely. So there's no way for course correction even if they are profoundly impacted by your statement, for some reason.
