The Official SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME International Release Discussion Spiderthread

I have never had such a low interest in the character of Spider-Man after that post credit scene. I know there's a lot of people who like it. And I like to think I've given this version of him a fair go.

I just really do not like how they've Handeled his secret identity in the MCU. It is probably the most important core aspect of the character to balance his life between Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Outside of Liz, I think they've done a poor job of that.

Instead of having Peter having to balance his realtionships with MJ or Ned, they'd rather just have the characters know he's Spider-Man and thus kills any need for that balance. Even taking that away, characters are incredibly forgiving of him. He ditches Ned at a party where he most likely didn't have that great of a time. He almost gets Ned killed in Homecoming.

May finds out he's Spider-Man and just nothing comes of it.
