You're in luck! We don't start until Tuesday night!
The game we're starting out with is Warriors of the Red Planet, which is 0e-based system that's about as dirt-simple as it gets, focusing on the sword-and-planet, or planetary romance, genre. At the moment we think we're going to set the game on Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom, but it might be more fun to create our own world bit by bit, West Marches-style.
A little about me and u/catfacemeowmers17: I am a longtime player and GM going back to the '70s, but I've been away from the gaming table for over 15 years. Consequently, I'm taking this very easy, from the system to the GMing. Also because Catface has played RPGs exactly once in his entire life, he needs to learn everything from the ground up. I've never served as the ambassador to entire hobby before, so this should be interesting.
Whatever the case, if you decide to stop by Third Eye on Tuesday night, we're making characters at six and we're going to do a quick Session Zero and be out the door by closing time at nine. Enough to get a feel for what we're doing and make sure everyone's happy. So let me know! ✌️
