I was just under the impression that every word in the Bible has actual meaning and wasn't just put there without importance. If it's up for interpretation because that's how metaphors work then God has me interpreting it in a completely wrong way I guess. The other verses make sense because they discuss her wanting to be fondled by many men and that described actual adultery however just wanting a big penis isn't adultery just like wanting a woman with a tight vagina isn't. That verse itself seems out of place unless it's just some residue from old sexist beliefs written by men which I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt and say it's not because it's a holy text written by God through prophets.

Even the story itself is about a pun though. Her name is "my tent is in her" and its weird to think God would write about a serious topic like worshipping other gods and make jokes in it.

When you look at pagan gods most actually did have large phalluses depicted like Pan or Osiris but it wasn't some random metaphor for sexual pleasure that somehow translates to adultery. A large phallus represents creative power. So gods that people believed created the world or people or whatever had big penises. They believed the penis was an important part of creation since it's where the seed of life came from so this was made into a metaphor for creation. That's something that makes sense to me. Maybe the Bibles trying to say they wanted to worship gods that had a lot of creation power both with their great size and with the speed and power at which they emitted it.
