Oh, you didn't do a single, tiny bit of your classwork today after I redirected you three times?

Its not ab that. Its that students are not being raised to feel accountable for their actions. I getting my masters rn in secondary education and its all my CTs complain about. I see it too, nit just among students but among coworkers in the 16-18 year old range where I work part time. We are educators, were knowledgable and we care about our content and our ability to teach and help others. But fairness dictates that if ypu put no effort into something I am diligently trying to help you with, you deserve to fail, and I will not be happy to fail you nor will I have sympathy for your failure. I feel like that is the position most teachers take.

I could go on and on about my shit upbringing, horrible mistakes, borderline poverty level family' drug addicted family/alcoholics and yet, here I am, 23 and getting my masters. There are no excuses in my book besides the VERY extreme.
