What would you do with an extra $35 billion to spend on healthcare? That $35 B is the profits collected by just the "top" private health insurers. If we put that into prescription drug coverage, insulin could cost a $1 a week instead of $100 a week (or less, if we also targeted big pharma while we were at it). Or we could use it to fund better health care services for low income families - in fact we could fund cost-free healthcare for 300,000 people with these profits.

That doesn't even begin to address the cost savings for hospitals, individuals, etc that we could get from reducing administrative overhead of insurers and providers, cost savings from reducing pharma overcharging, etc.
