Years ago my wife and I were checking out behind a small family. The belt was loaded it to two piles. The first they paid with a wic/ebt card and the beer, steaks, lobster and party stuff the guy pulled out a wad of $100s. We paid and left and saw them leave the lot in a almost brand new car.

A little miffed as I worked 5-6 days a week, didn’t have kids because I couldn’t afford them and drove a 20 year old truck because it was too expensive. I sent an email to our local representative and she responded that yes it seems unfair that there isn’t enough oversight on this stuff but there is little she can do. She followed it up with a statement “ I feel your pain as what makes this harder is seeing people scam the system and have these luxuries the average person has a hard time with because the basic are being covered”.
