Oisín McConville telling it how it is..

Fair play to him but it’s mad, I remember him getting into a fight with some Mitchell’s lads on the sideline at a club game a few years ago!

A great pundit and player no doubt but he could dish it back no problem too.

The way I see it is that the incidence’s such as Small’s happen an awful lot within the Gaa to the point where it’s normalized (as evident from the comments about this belt and in other matches) and that’s wrong and not right.

Dublin (and to a lesser extent, Mayo too and every other county’s) dark art stuff is nothing new and has been going on for years.

The difference being that the team who indulges within it and loses the game will be nailed for it. If Dublin won on Saturday and a goal came from Smalls hit, the narrative would be a lot more different and I’m not sure would there be as much discussion now as there is which is pretty messed up.

When Small thumped Leroy in the 2020 final in the 2nd half it was a “fantastic hit and changed the game”

It’s wrong to me how the narrative is decided on wether a team loses or wins. A bad tackle is a bad tackle.
