Is it OK that I [30M] don't love my GF[27F] of 5 months?

I've been dating a guy for about 8 months and I don't love him yet. Before him, I had just gotten out of a engagement with a guy that I felt love for after three weeks.

I think when you get older, when you experience transient relationships that once felt like they would be forever but ended, love is a different feeling. The crazy love that lights up fast is usually not founded in anything - I hardly knew my ex fiance when I felt like I loved him. After 8 months, I am growing to appreciate this person I am dating and I am extremely fond of him, but I don't love him yet because I realize that I am still getting to know him. If you dated someone for five years, you know this too.

I think if and when I finally feel love, it will be grounded in something real and tangible, not based on a fleeting blast of hormones. It can make your relationship more enduring and resilient if you love eachother for real reasons rather than limerance.
