Ok but unless you want to have a foot amputated then you have to control and keep your diet healthy/well-balanced if you’re diabetic.

Type 1 is an autoimmune condition where the immune system takes out the beta cells in the pancreas leaving it unable to produce any insulin. This means the body’s cells can’t absorb the energy (glucose) from food and blood glucose levels will just keep climbing. Type 1 is dependent on insulin, without it they die. It’s more of a short term danger as blood glucose being too high for several hours (due to lack of any insulin) can lead to diabetic ketoacidosis where the blood becomes too acidic and you die. If you take too much insulin and drive the blood sugar too low, you pass out > coma > die. It’s a balancing act.

Type 2 is insulin resistance. The body still produces insulin, but it doesn’t use it effectively. Insulin resistance typically occurs due to obesity. However, type 2 can also happen due to shit luck with genetics, so only 80% or so of people with type 2 are obese. The body still produces insulin so there’s a much lower risk of DKA and they’re far less likely to experience hypos than someone with type 1 who is having to rely on injected insulin. Some people with type 2 don’t produce enough insulin, even with the use of medications, so they may also inject insulin like someone with type 1 would. Type 2 is more of a long term dangerous disease as over time excess blood sugar can damage nerves in the toes/feet, blood vessels in the eyes, and internal organs like the kidneys from having to filter all that sugar out.

The long term concerns with type 2 are still concerns for type 1, but people with type 1 spend more time monitoring their glucose levels to prevent immediate dangers like death so they usually end up with a better average blood sugar than someone with type 2 who might only find out what their average blood sugar is when they see their doctor every 3 months.

Hope that helps a bit.
