My high school (extra-curricular) drama teacher didn't let me play dungeon and dragons with my friends. Just for clarification: he was short male actors and my mother insisted I participate (my sister had the lead) and I did so under the condition that I don't attend Friday rehearsals unless it is a dress rehearsal. I had a minor role, I played the Nazi captain (it was the play "Letters to Sala") and my director agreed to my conditions when casting me and then gave me only one free pass from rehearsal. I reluctantly stayed back twice for rehearsal but the fourth week I told him I would skip the next rehearsal to play D&D. He hunted me down in school and interrupted the class I was in just to threaten me that he would never write a letter of recommendation for me if I don't attend. How is a drama letter of recommendation going to get me into a school for pharmacology? Anyways, my mom pressured me into attending after all but now every time I think about it I regret that I didn't say FUCK YOU in his face then and there.
