Ok, Reddit, if we all suspended judgment for a sec, what do you want to brag about?

My dad died when I was 3 and my mom was a crackhead prostitute from then on, real enough that I have 9 siblings I've never met. My grandma mostly raised me until she died when I was 17 and I then lived the worst 6 months if my life with my mom trying to finish high school. After 6 months of no electricity (I bathed by heating up water in the stove, luckily the gas was never turned off) I was close to having enough. Once again it was Christmas week and the eviction we'd been served was leading to our exit off the residence at the end of the month so my mom decided it was time to live that hotel life again. So I packed my shit up, dropped out of school and went to sleep on my buddy's bedroom floor from then on. I got my GED a couple years later, went to college, almost got a degree, started working at Sonic as a carhop and by the time I was 21 I was running my own store but working a ton of hours which eventually led to me hating life despite the money I was making. Left that career, decided it was time for a desk job with business hours, started at geek squad and 4 years later I'm making almost 6 figures as a physical security admin.

TLDR: awful upbringing with every possible roadblock but have managed to have 2 very lucrative careers with only a GED and some college and I'm only 31.
