"Okay, now just work 40hrs/week for the next 50 years until you can retire and die."

I agree this is bullshit. At some point you need to decide whether you are going to be a lion or stay one of the sheep.

While you are working for others, you are just a wagecuck making others rich in exchange for a small, safe, predictable fixed income. If you are a good little cuck maybe you'll get a promotion and get to work 60-80 hours a week managing others. It doesn't matter if you are entry level employee or the CEO, these guys are all working for the owners.

When you finally get sick of this and want to enjoy yourself, congratulations you're 60 years old and you can retire and spend most of what you have saved up until that point trying to stay alive. You can't really do any of the things you wanted to do when you were young, no retiring to a mountain retreat to practice jiu-jitsu or travel the world doing 8 balls and slaying bitches. Oh, and you have high blood pressure/cancer/heart disease/(insert medical condition here) that means you probably spend a bunch of your time in the doctor's office anyway telling you to take more rest and eat a healthy diet.

Well, motherfucker, guess what.

You don't have to play this shitty game any longer than is absolutely necessary. You can do all the things you want if you grow some balls and take some risks. One of those risks (probably the biggest one) will be quitting your job, but also maybe starting your own business, maybe learning some new skills and meeting high-value, interesting, clever people. Maybe learning to live on a margin of your savings, forgetting about the normal societal pressures of buying a house, or getting married, or having a late-model car.. and just go and do some of the shit your really want to - right now - when you're young and healthy and you can actually enjoy yourself. And while you are doing that you will meet others who have the same mindset as you, people who are successful, people who are independently wealthy - all kinds of valuable people you will never meet stuck in your gray cubicle. Just knowing these people can lead to life-changing opportunities.

One thing is for sure: by the time you are 65 or 70 it's going to be too late to realize you were being a pussy and chose the boring safe life that nobody will remember.
