(Oklahoma) I took the check for vehicle damage, is it too late for a third party estimate?

If it were me, I would not put the time and energy toward fighting for a bigger check. The adjuster isn’t going to play ball unless you actually get the vehicle repaired and since you’re not doing that, it’s basically not gonna happen.

As far as claims and evaluating damages, I’d put to rest the notion that geico is trying to cut corners by not paying what it owed. They have far more to lose by lowballing payments than the couple hundred they’d save with you due to the highly regulated nature of insurance. Most of the big insurers (SF, Geico, etc) got to where they are by consistently paying what they owe and keeping their policyholders happy.
