[OLD] Not a Silent Prime Minister, Regularly Interacted With the Press: Manmohan Singh

Its definitely hypocritical and people accepting the bare minimum.

However, some people might disagree with me but I feel one thing Narendra Modi did that I support was Mann ki Baat. With Manmohan Singh it was impossible to know what his stand point on ideas were and he always felt like an absent figure. But with Narendra Modi, Mann ki Baat became hia direct connection with the public.

Mann ki baat is one place he picked up topics and directly spoke up on issues and ran awareness campaign. He spoke up in support of local people and talked about Indians and NGO's fighting different issues. In Mann ki Baat he talked about topics like drug abuse, woman empowerment, yoga, exam stress, etc.

This is where he marked himself different. He never faced the media but for every issue out their I atleast know he has made some comment even if its in a controlled environment.

Its accepting of a bare minimum but coming from a leader whose interaction with public null, this sounds a lot. If there is one tradition I would like future PMs to continue watching than that would be Mann ki Baat.

I would also want a PM who is read to face the media but I don't feel thats ever going to happen.
