I'm weighing the pros and cons of moving. Aside from the casual child abuse (and I say that with a sarcastic tone) and people being nosey as hell which I guess is typical for small town...the adults tend to keep to themselves. The house, yard size and location we're at now would be close to a million where we used to live and we got it for a quarter of that. We're about a 15 minute drive from rivers, lakes, ocean, tons of hiking trails and campsites, etc.

My husband and I always wanted to raise our daughter with a focus on nature and live in this type of geographic area. It just seems like I'm going to have to homeschool her, get a private tutor, and find like-minded people with kids to socialize her with. I just wanted to send her to a private school and call it good. :(
