"Older" women: do you feel like fashion has become less fun for you? (Define "older" however you like)

aw, hell no, op! your mom might have her own opinions, but they don't have to apply to you if you don't want them to.

i'm 28 and i plan on staying having fun with fashion until the day i die. my hair is wavy and i keep it super long because i think it looks cool (and i am south asian - my indian grandma is 90-something years old, yet she still rocks long hair too).

you can wear whatever you want, and you don't have to shop at chico's if you don't want to. as you get older, you'll have more $$$ to shop outside of the mall (not saying you should spend your whole paycheck on clothes, but you'll be making more). there's plenty of higher end places, or even shops online.

and as long as you take care of yourself, by going to the gym and eating right and everything, your can maintain your body the way you like too.

okay, now the fun part.... let me show you some cool older ladies i think look awesome. some are only a few years older than me, some are in their 40s. i haven't looked beyond those age ranges yet, but i am sure there are lots of women out there. anyways, examples:

solange is either in her late 20s or early 30s.

my fave rapper MIA is 40 in this picture, and she looks gorgeous with her hair. also, if you do a google search on her, pictures of her ranging from her 20s to age 40 will show up - she still looks awesome with all her wild clothes and crazy prints.

missy elliott is 44 and looks super cool in her newest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KO_3Qgib6RQ

one of my fave fashion blogs is run by a 30 or 40-something year old woman, andrea pippins. she looks cool, a lot of the clothes/clothing lines she posts are cool.

it's all about perspective! you might grow out of some things, but evolution and growth can be fun if you make an effort. you do you, & don't let others tell you how to present yourself (except for maybe your boss at work).
