Olivia Dunne Opens Up About Dealing With Rabid Fan Base After Recent Security Concerns on Todays Show

You're saying this happened because she exposed herself to strangers and it could've been avoided if she hadn't, which is the textbook definition of victim-blaming. Men being predatory is predictable, yes. I'm sure she knows that just like all women do. Expecting her to adapt her behavior because of predatory men is where you pin the onus on her by saying she could've avoided this. But we don't know that; it doesn't even seem that likely. Lots of Jane Does with private instagrams still experience some pretty horrific harassment just like some influencers are less vulnerable to it. Anyway, expecting women to change their behavior to ward off sexual harassment is fundamentally a flawed approach because like I said at the end of my comment above, that goalpost is always moving -- and like she says herself, it was never her responsibility. I don't think we fault anyone for not wanting to modify their behavior to conform with a reality where the principles are wrong, especially when those modifications aren't even a guarantee of safety.
