On the 32 Thoughts podcast it was mentioned that there’s a possibility that the All Star Game will soon only take place in warm weather cities with the occasional visit to big markets like New York and Toronto.

This recent ice storm wasn't really a power grid issue like we had in 2021. Don't get me wrong, the Texas power grid is fucked, but blackouts this time were caused by trees taking down overhead power lines. The issue was the government has been hesitant to winter-proof the power lines and there was a very slow response in restoring power to some areas.

As far as weather goes this time of year in Texas, it can vary. A week ago we were around freezing with ice everywhere, shit was rough. A few days later it was in the 70s and sunny. This winter has actually been pretty nice all things considered, just a few days of real cold over the past couple of months.
